Step #1 - Wet
Just that. Get your hair wet. I find it best to have the shower head setting where the water comes out in a stream, or close to it. It gets the hair wet faster and it's easier to wash and comb.
Step #2 - Wash
If I wash my hair everyday, I only shampoo it once in the shower. If it's been a couple of days, I will shampoo twice. If you're not getting the lather you like, add more water first instead of more product. If that doesn't help, add more product.
Step #3 - Condition
I condition early in the shower so it has time to sit in my hair. The last thing I do in the shower is rinse it off. Be sure to comb through with a wide-toothed comb while the conditioner is in.
Step #4 - Comb - In the Shower!
Notice, I did not say "brush".
I usually take a regular sized pick/comb for the final comb out. It helps to collect all the hair that has fallen out and rinse my hair well.
Step #5 - Wet
The last thing I do right before turning off the shower is wet my hair again.
